Typical tasks for industry placement students checklist

Introduction

This set of resources is designed for employer engagement staff or those liaising with employers to set up industry placements. The checklists are designed to use and adapt/personalise when talking to employers about T Levels.

The employer may be able to offer some or all these opportunities to students. Completing the checklist will aid your discussions by starting to bring the placement activities to life and help you to plan and reach decisions.

Guidance

The checklist can be used at an employer enquiry or placement preparation stage and will help you confidently engage employers in thinking about T Level typical tasks, projects and activities that a student can experience during an industry placement.

Content for each checklist is taken from the T Level outline content and curriculum specifications and will provide you with typical student skills and tasks that you can work through with an employer and tailor further. They include examples of each of the following:

• skills from each of the occupational specialisms
