Support materials for providers and career development professionals

This area includes a range of practical resources designed to support communications, engagement activities and curriculum planning as you prepare for the introduction of new post-16 pathways and can be downloaded at the bottom of the page. These materials will be updated as more materials become available. These are all linked in the Post-16 Pathways Support pack.

Materials include:

  • Editable student pathway documents - customisable templates to help students explore and map their post-16 education and career options.
  • Glossary of terms - a reference guide explaining key post-16 pathways, qualification and reform terminology.
  • Student profile posters - posters illustrating different post-16 progression routes and destinations.
  • PowerPoint slides - ready-to-use presentation materials comparing qualification options for 2031, outlining level 3 programme pathways and destinations, and providing an overview of post-16 pathways.
  • Implementation timeline and policy visuals - infographics showing key reform milestones, implementation dates and the wider education policy landscape.
  • Posters - visual resources explaining why the Government's is reforming post-16 qualifications.
  • Newsletter copy for Higher Education Institutions - pre-written content for universities and higher education providers to share information with staff.

  • Student pathway examples - Illustrative student journeys demonstrating different combinations of qualifications, progression routes and destinations.
