Introduce your team to employers
Introduction
This template can be edited and printed as a PDF to introduce employers, that have committed to hosting industry placements, to the wider T Level team.
By introducing the wider team, employers can better understand who is involved in making industry placements work, put a face to a name and know who to contact as required.
This resource can be used in conjunction with the key activity milestones to explain each role. It should be used at the point of ‘hand over’ from the employer engagement process to the industry placement support process – even if the key contact remains the same (e.g. workplace coordinator role in some schools and colleges).
Guidance
Use the key activities milestones resource to understand which staff an employer is likely to come into contact with at your school or college. For each staff member create a brief introduction (ideally with picture), to send to the employer along with the key activity milestones at the point of transition from industry placement enquiry to industry placement commitment.
For your key contact it can help to include their working pattern to manage expectations with employers as well as their direct email and phone numbers.
