The CSCS Industry Placement card

Students undergoing a construction-related qualification or training programme which requires the completion of a minimum 30-day work placement, such as T-Levels or Trainee Skills Development Programmes, require a CSCS Industry Placement card. 

The card is:

• valid for 3 years and cannot be renewed
• for students aged 16 or above
• for applicants  registered onto a qualification or training programme requiring a minimum of 30 days’ work placement
• for applicants who have passed the relevant Health, Safety and Environment test within the last 2 years

The CITB also offer an ‘Into Work’ Grant to help employers recruit and retain talent within the construction industry. This grant supports employers who offer an initial work experience placement (including T level industry placements) which starts on or after 1 September 2023.
