T Levels in Health and Healthcare Science report: successful industry placement models across the NHS
The Northern Care Alliance (NCA) NHS Foundation Trust have produced a Gatsby-commissioned report which describes T Level industry placement models delivered by NHS organisations across England for Health, Healthcare Science and Science T Levels. The link to the report is: T Levels in Health and Healthcare Science report: successful industry placement models in action
The report brings together case studies of models for placement management, developed to suit the requirements of NHS institutions working with their local T Level providers. These models range from individual agreements between a single T Level provider and an NHS organisation, through to Integrated Care System agreements between 25 or more partner organisations.
The report is designed to help NHS employers to get the most from incorporating T-levels into their workforce strategies and provides information on how to overcome barriers, such as working with under 18s and health and safety procedures in the post-COVID-19 context. Whilst the report focuses on placements for Health, Healthcare Science and Science opportunities, the models can also be applied across the breadth of opportunities in the NHS, for example, Digital, Management and Administration and Finance.
