Taking Teaching Further round 5 is now open
On 4th April 2022, the Department for Education announced the opening of the fifth round of the Taking Teaching Further (TTF) programme, to help attract experienced business and industry professionals looking to train as Further Education (FE) teachers. The programme will support up to 710 experienced business and industry professionals to become FE teachers by covering the costs of training and early career support, including mentoring.
We have expanded the scope of TTF beyond the 15 T Levels routes to include the core skills (English, maths and SEND) that underpin good technical education and to support the complex needs of many FE learners.
The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) are again delivering the programme.
Further information on the TTF programme and how to apply can be found here.

Recruitment Progress Pulse Survey collection
Thank you to the T Level providers who completed the March T Level Recruitment Progress survey. The information will be shared with ministers indicate T Level progress in the 2022 academic year.
The next survey will open on the 27 April; the Head of org and T Level leads will receive the survey opening email on the 27 April. If you have a query, please send an enquiry to our mailbox: Pulse.Survey@education.gov.uk
Reminder To Please Complete T Level Professional Development Questionnaire
The final wave of fieldwork for the T Level Professional Development (TLPD) Evaluation is ongoing. Senior Leaders and those leading on the delivery of each T Level Route in providers that started delivery in September 2021 should receive an email from Adrianna Kawecka-Billam, a researcher in DfE, inviting them to complete a survey on T level preparation. The plan is now to close the survey at the end of Friday 15th April so please do respond before then.
It should take around 20 minutes to complete and the data will feed into the wider evaluation of T Level Professional Development (TLPD) to inform and help improve the support on offer. We really appreciate your support during this busy time.
Due to the number of providers delivering T levels this year every response is important so we are very grateful for your participation.
If you have any questions about it, please get in touch with Adrianna, DfE Project Manager via Adrianna.kawecka-billam@eduction.gov.uk
