T Level Foundation Year, National Technical Outcomes (NTOs) - now published in an improved format

The TLFY National Technical Outcomes (NTOs) have been published in a new HTML format.

The benefit of moving from the previous standalone PDFs is that the HTML format makes the content easier to access, navigate and search across devices, including through browser search functionality.

Importantly, the Learning Outcomes remain unchanged across all subjects, providing continued stability for providers. We have taken the opportunity to improve the supporting content, strengthening the emphasis on holistic delivery, progression to a wider range of Level 3 destinations, transferable and employability skills, and readiness for Level 3 study. There have also been minor refinements to improve clarity, consistency, and relevance.

The Foundation Year and the NTOs will continue to play a role during the transition to the post 16 qualifications, during the roll out period between 2027 and 2030.
