Let’s Talk Industry Placements: Introducing the new 2026–28 support programme
We’re launching the next phase of the Department for Education-funded Industry Placement Support Programme for T Level providers, delivered by SDN Mesma Group – and we’d love you to join us for the first Let’s Talk Industry Placements session.
Designed for colleagues involved in planning, sourcing, managing and overseeing industry placements, this launch session will give you an introduction to the support available over the next two years, what’s coming up and, importantly, how you can get involved.
The new programme will include practical CPD, Industry Placement Design Labs, employer engagement support, resource demonstrations and regular Let’s Talk Industry Placements sessions – creating different ways to get support, explore challenges, share practice and learn from the experience of others.
This first session is a chance to hear what’s planned, meet the team and help shape what comes next. We’ll explore some of the common challenges facing providers now and ask what topics, questions and areas of practice you would most value exploring through the programme. Your input will help us make sure future sessions reflect what providers need now, as well as the challenges and opportunities you can see ahead.
During the session, you will:
- Get a first look at the 2026–28 programme and the different ways you and your colleagues can get involved
- Hear what’s coming up over the next few months and which opportunities might be most useful to your team
- Explore some of the common challenges and priorities currently shaping industry placement delivery
- Help identify the topics and areas of practice you’d like to see explored through future events and activity
- Influence the programme so that it remains responsive to providers’ current needs and future development
- Leave knowing what’s coming next, where to find support and how to stay involved
Do invite colleagues from across your organisation who are involved in designing, sourcing or overseeing industry placements – whether senior leads, curriculum staff, employer engagement colleagues, industry placement coordinators or others. Bringing different perspectives will help us build a stronger picture of where support can make the greatest difference.
