T Levels: Industry Workshop - Health and Science - Using Scenario Design Systems to Enhance T Level Health Delivery
We welcome all Health, Healthcare Science, and Science educators to join Phil Purver and Ann Sunderland from iRIS Health Solutions for a unique and entirely T Level dedicated talk on scenario design software to access high quality simulation that strengthens clinical decision making, reflective practice, and learner confidence.
Philip Purver is the Managing Director of iRIS Health Solutions Limited. He has experience in healthcare simulation and scenario design through work at iRIS Health Solutions with the aim of supporting higher education and clinical education teams to standardise, scale, and improve simulation delivery.
Ann Sunderland is a registered nurse and senior healthcare educator with extensive experience in simulation-based education and clinical skills training across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. She also supports further education providers in developing simulation-based learning for T Level Health students.
Phil and Ann are committed to helping educators create engaging, psychologically safe learning environments that enhance clinical competence and professional development.
This workshop will cover:
- welcome & scene setting - why simulation is a key solution to challenges of time, quality and capacity and how simulation-based learning fits in modern healthcare
- the role of scenario based learning in healthcare education - how simulation supports safe, confident practice, why NHS Trusts and universities use scenario-based training, and the benefits for early career learners (including T Level students)
- live demonstration of the health scenarios software – guided walkthrough with T Level Curriculum links
- assessment, feedback & tracking learner progress - how the platform supports formative and summative assessment, how staff can monitor learner decisions, identify gaps in knowledge, and support reflective journals and placement preparation
- preparing learners for placement using scenarios – anxiety and communication, red flags, prioritising care, and understanding real-world pressures.
A live Q&A session will follow the presentation.
