Louisa Dean is Head of Communications and Marketing at Reading Borough Council, with over 25 years’ experience in strategic, operational and delivery roles. Louisa has spent 15 years in senior leadership positions overseeing communications, marketing, events, engagement and digital development. An award-winning professional, Louisa has led complex, high-profile, multi-agency communication plans for major national events, including the funerals of HM Queen Elizabeth II and HRH Prince Philip, and the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Louisa has a strong track record in developing and implementing strategies, managing sensitive issues, driving organisational change and fostering positive culture. Louisa has worked across the public and private sectors, including roles at the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, Oxford City Council and the Automobile Association, and began her career in journalism.
