T Levels: Group Industry Placement - Creative and Design - Spend a Day at the World Famous Royal Opera House in London - in person
Aimed at those delivering the Creative and Design T Levels, this is a fantastic opportunity to spend a day behind the scenes at the world famous Royal Opera House in London, home of the Royal Ballet and Opera.
The day is hosted by the Apprenticeships & Work Experience team who will introduce you to the company and how it works as a repertory producing theatre.
During the day you will have an in-depth behind the scenes tour and meet various area specialists who will explain the skills and training needed for their roles. You will meet heads of Technical & Production teams plus the Recruitment Team, who will answer your questions on how you can give realistic information about Creative Industry Careers to your learners. As well as a behind the scenes tour, you’ll watch a Royal Ballet rehearsal and a whole stage change, visit the Bridge of Aspiration, visit the fly gallery, plus lots more.
The day includes:
- coffee and tea on arrival
- introduction to ROH as an organisation
- tour of public spaces and key teams
- watch a main theatre Royal Ballet rehearsal
- lunch in the staff canteen
- backstage tour of areas and departments like stage, fly gallery, props, wigs, costume, meeting staff in each area
- see the Bridge of Aspiration from the inside!
- watch the stage transition for the evening performance
- Q&A panel with ROH apprentices and staff on careers in theatre.
Please note, you will need to make your own travel arrangements to attend this event and lunch will be available to purchase in the staff canteen.
