Back by popular demand, we invite you to join Kerry-Ann Jervis-Scott from MWS Accountants for another insightful workshop through the lens of her role as a Senior Audit and Accounts Manager who is here to support you unpack all things audit and risk!
Kerry-Ann Jervis-Scott BFP ACA is a Senior Audit and Accounts Manager with MWS Accountants. Kerry-Ann was part of the DfE T Level Employer Panel for Accounting and she is an experienced chartered accountant specialising in corporate audit, accounting and tax, and charity auditing and accounts. Her sector experience includes education, healthcare, architects, film production, construction, printing, and manufacturing.
Kerry-Ann will be sharing:
- the audit process and assurance framework
- types of audits, including internal vs. external
- walkthrough of common audit risks, how to identify them and manage them
- business risk factors and the strategies that companies can use to manage risks
- responsibilities of those in the business with regards to managing risk and steps required when a problem is identified
- recent audit scandals and case studies to share with students
- current processes and technology that support the audit role.
There will also be plenty of opportunity for discussion and a chance to put your questions to Kerry-Ann during the session.
