Capital Support for T Level Providers – Academic Year 2026/27
In December 2025, we announced £8.8 million Capital Funding for T Level Priority Routes for Academic Year 2026/27. We are now pleased to announce further information and eligibility for this new grant.
We can confirm there is now a total of £11.36m available to support providers to purchase industry-standard equipment for T Level courses in high priority areas they are delivering in September 2026. This includes £7.0m from the Skills Mission Fund and £1.8 million from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero’s Engineering Skills Package.
The funding will support providers delivering T Levels in the following routes for the first time from September 2026:
- Engineering & Manufacturing,
- Construction,
- Digital,
- Health & Science,
- Creative & Design,
- Agriculture, Environmental & Animal Care
These are areas in which demand for skills is expected to expand significantly in the future, and where equipment costs are generally higher, aligned to Industrial Strategy priorities and/or local skills priorities.
We will be sending grant offer letters to all eligible providers shortly. You must read and sign Annex A of your grant offer letter, and return the signed copy to us by midday on Wednesday 4th March 2026.
Please note, this grant is part of the Skills Mission Fund and different from the previous Specialist Equipment Allocation (SEA), and you must agree to our terms and conditions before receiving any funding. If we do not hear from you by midday on Wednesday 4th March 2026, we will assume you do not want to make use of this funding.
You can find out more information about this grant here, and if you have any queries please email TLevel.CAPITALSUPPORT@education.gov.uk.
