English & Maths attainment in the Manage T Level Results service

When T Levels were launched it was a requirement that learners attained Level 2 English and maths to be awarded the qualification. The requirement subsequently changed so that learners must have achieved or be working towards both L2 qualifications to attain a T Level, but no longer forms part of overall results calculations.

We have continued to gather information on learners’ English and maths attainment through the Manage T Level Results service to understand learner attainment but recognise that this places additional demands on schools and colleges to verify the information we hold.

To simplify processes for schools and colleges we no longer require confirmation of learners’ English and maths attainment in the Manage T Level Results (MTLR) service and the service has been updated to remove this functionality.

This change does not have any impact on learners’ T Level results or certificates, though the Department continues to hold learner attainment data in the Learning Records Service.

If you have any questions regarding this change, please contact the team at tlevel.resultsandcertification@education.gov.uk

Visit the dedicated area for Results and certification for more information on T Level results.
