Employer Support Fund – Additional Support for Industry Placements

As announced on 23rd April, we are introducing the Employer Support Fund (ESF) to support employers with essential costs associated with delivering high-quality T Level industry placements. We have now published additional information about the fund on our T Level Support for Schools and Colleges website here

We will be contacting providers later this month to confirm your provider allocation. You will have two weeks to respond and opt in to the fund. It is essential you respond in this timeframe as you will not be able to opt in later in the year. We expect everyone who opts in to make full use of the fund.

Guidance on how to make claims will also be published before the end of the summer term. We will share supporting materials and webinars to help you understand how to administer and use the fund. Dates for these webinars will be communicated shortly.

T Levels - we think you’re officially amazing!

Every day, careers professionals are transforming the way apprenticeships, T Levels, and other technical education options are perceived in schools and colleges. Now, it’s time to celebrate and share those brilliant ideas.

Launching in July 2025, Amazing Apprenticeships are introducing a brand-new area of their website, dedicated to showcasing and celebrating innovative approaches from across England. This searchable online hub will inspire careers professionals to discover what works and adapt ideas for their own settings. This exciting new resource will make it even easier to access and share effective practice. Amazing Apprenticeships are now on the lookout for a wide variety of best practice examples and would love T Levels to be a part of it!

Here’s how to get involved:

  1. Submit up to three examples of best practice in T Levels from your school or college using the simple form (you can start with just one and add more later)
  2. Amazing Apprenticeships will turn your submission into a dedicated case study, complete with school or college logo
  3. Once the platform launches, you’ll be able to share your work and explore new ideas from schools and colleges across England

Be part of a community that inspires, submit your best practice here:

T Level destinations – Gatsby data collection

The Gatsby Charitable Foundation and RCU are currently in the process of collecting data relating to the destinations of the 2023/24 T Level cohort. Wave One, Two and Three providers were contacted earlier this year to request information about the destinations of students who completed their qualification in summer 2024. The deadline for data collection has been extended, and Gatsby are inviting any providers who have not yet submitted data, but would like to contribute, to do so by Thursday 12th June. Thank you to all of those who have submitted data so far.

Any data submissions are greatly appreciated and will support the publication of a report into the destinations of the third cohort of T Level students. Reports on the destinations of the first cohort and destinations of the second cohort of T Level students can be viewed on the Gatsby website. These insights sit alongside a developing suite of case studies celebrating the success of T Level students, which can be viewed on the Technical Education Networks website. If you would like to discuss this research, or recommend one of your T Level graduates for inclusion in a future case study, please email sarah.herdan@gatsby.org.uk.

Reminder: 13 June deadline to update industry placement information for 2023 learners

Providers need to input industry placement information into the Manage T Level Results service. Guidance is available here
