About the Post-16 Pathways Resource Pack

This resource pack has been created to support education and training providers, and careers information, advice and guidance professionals, to explain post-16 pathways and qualifications to staff, students, parents/carers, employers and other stakeholders.

The pack contains a range of practical resources designed to support communications, engagement activities and curriculum planning as providers prepare for the introduction of new post-16 pathways. These materials can be integrated into existing outreach, information and guidance activities to help build awareness and understanding of the qualifications landscape.

We encourage providers to use and adapt these resources to support conversations about post-16 options, progression routes and future career opportunities.

• Information and guidance on post-16 pathways and qualifications, including T Levels, V Levels, Foundation Certificates and Occupational Certificates.
• New branding materials for Occupational Certificates, Foundation Certificates and V Levels.
• Resources for parents/carers, students and employers, including explainer leaflets, posters, template communications and frequently asked questions (FAQs).
• Resources for staff and careers professionals, including presentations, qualification explainers, pathway overviews and implementation materials.
• Student pathway and progression resources, showing illustrative learner journeys examples and progression opportunities at Levels 2 and 3.
• Resources for higher education providers, including explainer materials and student progression examples to support understanding of new qualifications.
• Editable templates and communications assets that can be tailored to local settings and audiences.
• Links to further support and guidance, including implementation planning resources, T Level support materials, careers resources and provider guidance.
• Links to key policy publications and reform documents, including consultation responses, implementation plans and supporting documentation relating to post-16 qualifications reform.
