T Levels Week 2024

Thank you to everyone who celebrated #TLevelsWeek last week! It was fantastic to see all of the content produced and the inspiring stories of T Level students. 

Here is a small selection of the wonderful content that was created for the week: 

T Levels and the outcome of the Review of Qualifications Reform

Yesterday, 12 December 2024, we announced the outcomes of the Review of Qualifications Reform in Parliament. The key details have been published on our dedicated Qualification Reform pages on GOV.UK. We have also confirmed that we will no longer be taking enrolments on the Onsite Construction T Level. All providers have received a letter confirming the implications of these decisions on them and their learners.

Updated approaches to Industry Placements

On December 2nd, the department announced a series of updates to industry placement delivery approaches. Detailed guidance will be published in January 2025 and the new delivery approaches can be implemented from that point onwards. You can read more about the upcoming changes here

Specialist Equipment Allocation (SEA)

We can confirm we will be allocating T Levels equipment capital (SEA) in Spring 2025 for providers who are delivering new routes in September 2025 and completed the May and October T Level Data Collections. SEA funds will be sent to eligible providers in April 2025.

Please note that if you received SEA in Spring 2024 your monitoring form is due by 24 January 2025. Please send your form to: routesreadiness.te@education.gov.uk

This programme is part of the Education and Training Foundation’s (ETF) T Level Professional Development (TLPD) offer.

Start the new year with T Level Industry Workshops – book now

Part of the Education and Training Foundation’s (ETF) T Level Professional Development (TLPD) offer, Industry Insights Workshops are bite-sized, online events that give staff delivering T Levels the latest updates from relevant industries. You can participate in Q&A discussions and view demonstrations of the tools and techniques currently used in specific sectors.

IfATE and Awarding Organisation Updates

Marketing T Level Approved for Delivery

The Marketing T Level was approved by IfATE in November and will be available for Providers to deliver from September 2025 onwards. The Marketing T Level Technical Qualification Specification can be found here. 

City & Guilds

City & Guilds have just shared their December update with providers. This includes important reminders about registration windows, key dates for Occupational Specialism assessment entries, updates on ESP autumn series marking, and details for the return of Core examination autumn series scripts. You can find the update online here. 

Eduqas and EAL

To support providers in the delivery of their new T Level in Building Services Engineering for Construction for first teaching in 2025, Eduqas and EAL have produced a timeline of activities. This will be regularly updated and is available here.
