Progression Profiles have been uploaded to IfATE’s website for Animal Care & Management and Craft & Design, which have both started being taught this month. |
T Levels Week 2024T Levels Week will take place from Monday 2 to Friday 6 December. As with previous years, this will provide a fantastic opportunity to promote T Levels and the achievements of your students. We will provide a toolkit to help you make the most of the week and will be in touch with more information in the coming weeks. October 2024 T Level data collection – for all T Level providersThe T Level data collection will open on 16 September and will collect data from all T Level providers on T Level delivery intentions from the 2025 to 2026 academic year. It is critical for you to complete this data return accurately and by the closing date, which is 11 October, as will use your data to allocate revenue and specialist equipment allocation funding in early 2025. If you have decided not to deliver T Levels in the 2025 to 2026 academic year you must tell us via this collection and you can register as a T Level provider for 2026 if you plan to deliver T Levels in the future. September 2024 T Level Enrolment surveyProviders who have received funding to offer T Levels in the 2024 to 2025 academic year will receive an email with a link to complete the 2024 T Level Enrolment Survey, which will open on 23 September. This will ask about the total number of new students who have enrolled on a T Level course and/or T Level Foundation Year programme starting in September 2024, and the total number of industry placements secured for this cohort. |
T Level Professional DevelopmentOver 60,000 activities supported to date as part of T Level Professional Development offer The Education and Training Foundation, funded by DfE, have supported 60,235 activities as part of the TLPD offer since the TLPD pilot phase began in 2019. The TLPD offer continues to grow and has been updated ahead of the 2024/25 academic year, with a range of new courses and CPD opportunities now available. This includes an Introducing the T Level Foundation Year online course, an expansion of the subject specific offer and more networking opportunities for providers to share knowledge and best practice. |
Applications now open! T Level Resource Improvement ProjectsIf you are a teacher, manager or part of specialist staff, you can apply to be part of a T Level Resource Improvement Project (TRIP). We particularly encourage applications relating to the new T Level routes. If you’d like to be part of a TRIP and receive up to £10,000 in funding for the creation of T Level resources, find out more on the Education and Training Foundation's website and apply by Monday, 4 November 2024. |
T Level Foundation Year UpdatesThe T Level Foundation Year national certificate template and guidance is now available for providers to print and issue locally to recognise this year’s 2023/2024 students who completed the programme. The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) has launched the ‘Introducing the T Level Foundation Year’ online on-demand course (part of their T Level Professional Development offer funded by the DfE). Industry Placement UpdatesSupport has been made available for provider employer engagement teams responsible for sourcing industry placements. A suite of practical tools and resources can now be accessed and final places are available during October and November for the 4-part CPD programme. Any questions? Contact the Strategic Development Network (SDN). Support continues to be available to help employers understand, plan and host T Level industry placements. This includes practical guidance, resources and case studies, as well as regular CPD sessions and regional planning conferences. Do make use of this support and share with employers you have contact with. Need more information? Contact the SDN. SDN will soon be hosting targeted support to help employers consider how they might host placements for the new Craft and Design T Level. This will include an event to bring T Level providers and employers together. You can register your early interest for this here. |

Agriculture, Land Management and Production (ALMP) TQ – New OS Livestock Production to include Pig SkillsCity and Guilds have updated their site to include a draft specification (V2.2 Draft) for unit new OS 413 Livestock Production. Learners registering from September 2024 onwards will be assessed against the updated OS which includes assessment of two species out of a choice of cattle, sheep, and pigs. The first assessment series will be Summer 2026. The version of the specification remains a draft, and further updates may be made as development continues until full approval. This is part of Gatsby’s ongoing work to highlight the achievements and progression of T Level students.
