Changes to Industry Placement completion status deadline 31st July
The deadline of 23rd June has now passed for providers to input Industry Placement data into the Manage T Level Results service.
Providers are reminded that any late changes to the Industry Placement completion status for 2021 learners must be updated in the service no later than 31 July 2023 to ensure accuracy of T Level results. At this point the service will freeze, and data held will be used to calculate overall results. Find out more here
Introduction to Industry Placements Webinar
On Tuesday 11 July at 11am, the T Level Industry Placement policy team will be hosting an online ‘Introduction to Industry Placements’ webinar.
The session will be aimed at providers who are new to delivering T Levels or existing providers with new staff who want to understand more about industry placements. Content will include an introduction to the basics of industry placements, the delivery approaches and the Employer Support Fund.
To register, please use the Eventbrite link.
DfE survey to review the funding rates for T Levels
DfE have launched an online survey across all providers delivering T Levels from 2023 to gather evidence about the cost of delivering different T Level occupational specialisms. We are encouraging providers to participate in the survey as the information will help inform the DfE approach to the funding rates for T Levels. You can complete the survey online. We are asking for responses to the survey by 14th July.
Please email PCW.Review@education.gov.uk if you have any questions about the survey.
IFATE Occupational Maps
IFATE have published occupational maps to show the relationships that exist between education, qualifications, apprenticeships and occupations in England. The maps can be found here.
T Level engagement with the higher education sector
We have published a guide which outlines our engagement with HE providers to date on T Levels and signposts supporting materials relating to progression into HE for T Level students.
Technical Education Learner Survey
On the 29th June the findings from the second year of fieldwork for a survey of technical education learners were published and are available at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/technical-education-learner-survey-2022.
The aim of the survey is to understand learners’ choices of technical education programmes, their experiences and outcomes on these programmes, and their progression to future study and work.

The amended teaching and assessment materials were published on the NCFE website on 26th June and will be taught from September 2023.
In August, NCFE will be hosting a virtual workshop focusing on adapting resources and planning for those who have already delivered the previous version of the specification. Once released, you’ll find the information on the NCFE events page here
