Back by popular demand, we invite you to join Kerry-Ann Jervis-Scott from MWS Accountants for another insightful workshop through the lens of her role as a Senior Audit and Accounts Manager homing in on her expertise on all things tax!
Kerry-Ann Jervis-Scott BFP FCA is a Senior Audit and Accounts Manager with MWS Accountants. Kerry-Ann was part of the DfE T Level Employer Panel for Accounting and she is an experienced chartered accountant specialising in corporate audit, accounting and tax, charity auditing and accounts. Her sector experience includes education, healthcare, architects, film production, construction, printing, and manufacturing.
Kerry-Ann’s session will cover:
- Purpose of the tax system and its influence and impact on policy, and how it is administered
- The difference between tax evasion and avoidance and the misunderstandings that surround them
- The principles of the main taxes for individuals and corporate entities, with calculation examples
- Advice on how the taxes could be taught to students based on the experience of teaching it to apprentices
- Technology as a fundamental component of taxation and future changes to technology within assessment
