Join James Lewis, Associate Director of Engineering and Estates at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS trust, as he provides an insight on how the Engineering Industry is developing in the NHS.

James leads a team of 75 in engineering, delivering operational maintenance across the Trust. With an MBA in Strategic Facilities Management, James stays committed to the strategic direction of the team, Trust, and estate. James is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Manager, Fellow of the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estates Management, and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. His values—honesty, integrity, and empathy—are shaped by 23 years of Army service as a construction engineer. He advocates "Putting Patients First through Professional Engineering," prioritising teamwork, inclusivity, and visible leadership.
