T Levels: Industry Workshop - Construction - Considering scientific principles for temporary works
Mabey Hire has been a leading temporary works specialist for construction and engineering for over 60 years and are the only UK supplier who deliver an end-to-end service from initial concept design to virtual reality rehearsals, through to installation and removal, all by their own in-house teams. They deliver thousands of projects each year, cross every sector of the market, and cover all aspects of temporary works. Rob Smith, Head of Regional Hire Engineering, is responsible for developing and implementing engineering strategies, managing the delivery of regional hire engineering projects, overseeing compliance with industry regulations and standards, promoting technical innovation, and leading and managing the regional hire engineering team. At this online workshop Rob will be exploring: - Material science (properties, chemical composition, degradation, failure, and effects) - Mechanical science (relationship between force, work, energy, and power) - Structural science (forces, loads, and materials) - Earth science (geography, hydrology, and geology) There will also be plenty of opportunity to ask Rob questions during the session. This session links to the following T Level specifications: - BSE for Construction - Part 2 - 2.3, 2.4, 2.6 and 2.10 - DSP for Construction - PO1, PO2 and PO3 - Onsite Construction - 2.1 |
