Mott MacDonald is working closely with the NHS and the New Hospital Programme to develop and deliver an ambitious plan for the future of all major acute hospitals. The vision is to improve all aspects of the patient experience and create environments that will encourage the retention and recruitment of the best staff by enabling them to deliver worldclass healthcare in the most modern facilities.

Our speaker, Stuart Thatcher, is an accomplished leader in healthcare construction and design, equipped with 25 years of experience managing the design process for major innovative projects in the UK, Australia and Sweden. He guides and monitors the whole delivery process from concept to project completion and occupation using a strong understanding of all key disciplines in the process including architectural, engineering, clinical planning, construction methodology and phasing.

In this session, Stuart will cover:
- Why is there a need for a new system?
- How do we scope a new project?
- The design delivery process
- Construction and the role of Modern Methods of Construction and Design for Manufacture and Assembly
- The future of design management

There will also be plenty of opportunity for discussion and a chance to put your questions to Stuart during the session.
