T Levels: Industry Workshop - Agriculture, Environment and Animal Care - The science of animal sentience
Join Chloe Stevens, a Senior Scientific Officer for Refinement in the Animals in Science Department at the RSPCA, for an insightful look into animal welfare, specifically taking a deep dive into animal sentience.
Chloe works to promote improvements in welfare for animals used in research and testing, with a particular focus on fish and other aquatic animals. She has studied behaviour and welfare in a range of fish species, including zebrafish, guppies and mollies, and has a PhD from the University of Exeter in stress biology, welfare and mortality in ornamental fish.

At this workshop Chole will cover:
• The RSPCA's Science Departments
• Why does sentience matter for animal welfare?
• How do we apply this to the work of the Animals in Science Department?
There will also be plenty of opportunity for discussion and a chance to put your questions to Chloe during the session.
